Buzz Rickson’s ‘Jeep Cap’ – Olive John Lofgren achieving the dense texture andAdopted by the U. S. Army in 1941, the wool Jeep Cap was issued to soldiers serving in harsh winter conditions. Its rib knit crown and short brim allowed it to be worn comfortably under the M 1 steel helmet, while the folded band could be pulled down to protect ears and neck. Buzz Ricksons recreates this military icon in Japan using pure wool and authentic six panel construction, complete with reinforced seams and a shape retaining visor. The cap
