Ngamba Island Basket Jewelry raises awareness of environmental issuesUse this traditional, round, handwoven basket to decorate, serve, or gift! Each basket was handmade by women artisans trained by the Chimpanzee Trust in order to bring secure economic development to this remote island in Uganda. Groups of women are trained to make crafts out of local materials. The sales from these crafts, including baskets, are marketed and sold at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Surrounded by the peaceful waters of Lake
