St. Jude Auction for Hope

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Ranked one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.

The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) is a proud partner of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The NAA adopted St. Jude as its national philanthropy in 1995 and since that time has raised approximately $4 million for the lifesaving work of the hospital.

Beginning in July 2012, Albert Burney and other members of NAA began working diligently to raise $500,000 over the next five years to directly fund the Postdoctoral Fellowship program, which helps train and prepare tomorrow’s scientific leaders.

Albert Burney frequently contributes to the NAA’s St. Jude Auction for Hope through both company donations, as well as pre-auction charity items sales. A small charity auction before a major property auction not only benefits this amazing non-profit, it also allows the registered bidders to get a feel for the auction process, practice raising their bid cards and enjoy the competitive bidding process.
