Canadian Farm Land Auction – 2,880 Acres

Albert Burney Auctioneers

Major Sale of Agricultural Land Set for Nov. 22

CARLYLE, SK (Oct. 27, 2014) — Approximately 2,880 acres of contiguous Saskatchewan farmland will sell at auction Saturday, Nov. 22, with Albert Burney Auctioneers marketing the property and managing the sale.

The land will sell in 18 parcels of 160 acres, with 10 of the parcels — 1,600 acres — selling at absolute auction, with no minimum bid or reserve.

“This land — located in an area widely known as the agricultural epicenter of Canada — is all tillable and has a good long-term record for productivity, and it’s well suited either to area farmers or to investors,” said Warren Ward, president of the auction company. “It’s entirely possible that one bidder could purchase all of the land, but we could also see local operators, who can use it to enlarge their operations, perhaps working it with equipment they already own,” said Ward.

The land is located near Carlyle, approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) north of the U.S. border.

The auction will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Carlyle Memorial Hall located at 111 Main Street, Carlyle, SK, Canada.

Albert Burney personnel will be available at the property from Nov. 18 through the auction day to accommodate inspections and provide detailed information. Specific information on productivity and soil types is available by visiting www.albertburney.com or calling 256-543-1654.
